PEVBoss Privacy Policy

SimtaCo LLC built PEVBoss as a commercial Apple Watch app. This page explains what information PEVBoss accesses, why it accesses it, and how it is handled.
Data collection
PEVBoss does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. All information the app accesses stays on your device or is used only in real time to display your vehicle's telemetry.
Bluetooth
PEVBoss uses Bluetooth to connect directly to your VESC controller. This connection is local — no data is routed through our servers or any third party.
WorkoutKit and HealthKit
watchOS requires an active workout session for an app to remain running in the background. PEVBoss starts a workout session so it can stay connected to your vehicle throughout your ride.
- PEVBoss does not read, write, or access any health or fitness data from HealthKit.
- No workout data recorded by PEVBoss is shared with SimtaCo or any third party.
Crash and error reporting
PEVBoss may use third-party crash-reporting tools to collect anonymous diagnostic data (such as device model, OS version, and a stack trace) when the app crashes. This data is used only to find and fix bugs. It does not include any personally identifiable information or vehicle telemetry.
Children's privacy
PEVBoss is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of PEVBoss after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
